Layers suite exists in this space by merging the solidity of craft with the mutability of water. In the family room, ethereal blue and gray weave together artisanship, organic formations, and elemental materiality like fog winding through coastlands. A native and life-long Californian, Kelly Hohla’s sensibility was shaped by the water, and she expresses that elegantly in her new capsule collection, debuting here at Showcase: the Cove Banquette, the Droplet Dining Chair, Puddle side table, and the Seafoam Rug. A champion of California craft, Kelly Hohla Interiors also embraces and showcases artisans in these two rooms, as well as special vintage pieces. With the expanse of the Bay in view, in the Marine Layers suite one is transported from ground to groundswell to mist, experiencing the exhilaration of standing at the threshold between sand and sea.
